The official Among Us show released on June fifth, 2026 and was created by Owen Dennis.

The show has a cast of eleven characters, of which all have unique personalities and character traits.

Red

Captain of the skeld

Red is an incredibly fascinating character, having history with Purple and having their identity tied to MIRA.

funfact: If you have subtitles enabled, there is a point where Red is refered to as a him. while this is likely a subtitles error, it is an interesting thing to consider.

Purple

Security of the skeld

Purple is far more straight forward when compared to Red. they have looming anxieties due to the deaths and grow increasingly frustrated as nothing is done.

funfact: Purple seemingly has a knowledge of Greek mythology as their pet fishmate is named Heracles and they get noticeably annoyed when they're refered to as Hercules.

Blue

Doctor of the skeld

Blue's character archetype is the hot doctor. However, this does not make them any less competent in their role. They display remarkable emotional intelligence,

funfact: Blue's first degree was in elegiac poetry.

Green

Unpaid Intern

Green grew up on a worm farm, and appears incredibly niave throughout the show.

funfact: Green has kissed worms.

White

Contest Winner

White is a primarily comic relief character, only being on the ship due to complete chance. White seemingly has an interest in the working class, and wants to be seen as a hard worker.

funfact: In a way, the events of the show are White's fault.

Cyan

Gemologist of the skeld

Cyan is an incredibly spiritual bean. They have a dream journal, believe in astrology, and is incredibly interested in Ore+.

funfact: Cyan has a degree.

Black

Geologist of the skeld

Black is Cyan's opposite. They are more stoic, get annoyed easily, and are an atheist.

funfact: They participate in rave culture, having glowsticks in their backpack.

Lime

Engineer of the skeld

Lime is insane at first glance. However once you look into what they're actually saying you'll realize that more often than not they're right.

funfact: Lime has squish bone syndrome! This is what allows them to use the vents.

Yellow

Cook of the skeld

Yellow is part one of the Skeld's union. They don't care for Orange and is quick to fight back against the corporation.

funfact: Yellow noticeably goes into tangents when not around Brown.

Brown

Cook of the skeld

Brown is the second part of the union. They are far more relaxed when compared to Yellow. They don't put seasoning on their pizza which is the one thing they disagree with Yellow on.

funfact: Brown makes a comment about people making out in the freezer. We never see this happen in the series, so it's possible Brown was speaking on something they did.

Orange

HR of the skeld

Orange is an incredibly good representation of HR. They care about the company's wellbeing, not the employees. They don't care for Yellow and Brown as a result.

funfact: Orange has an intense love for their Trust balls.

The Among Us Game released on June fifteenth, 2018. It's a social deduction game with an incredibly charming artstyle. Among Us blew up in 2020, likely due to quarntine, and was even further popularized by streamers. several notable names played this game and even more got their career from it. It's had an undeniable impact on today's culture especially when it came to the memes that spawened from it.

In Among Us, there are two main roles. Crewmates and Imposters. Crewmates are the majority, their goal is to either complete their tasks or vote out the imposters. The imposters can range from 1-3 depending on lobby settings. their goal is to kill the crewmates and not get voted out. It's a very simple gameplay loop, but it's most effectively supplemented by the maps

The skeld is a classic, it's the map everyone thinks of when they think of among us. This map has two main tools to help crewmates. Cameras and Admin Table. Cameras allow you to view multiple points of the map at once. The admin Table allows you to view how many people are in a room at a time, at the cost of not being able to see who is who.

Mira HQ is the second among us map to release. it's the opposite of The Skeld in many ways. Where the skeld is circular, Mira HQ is triangular. Mira HQ's vents all connect to eachother. Mira HQ doesn't have cams, instead they have logs of what sensors have been crossed in middle of the map.

Polus is arguably the best map. The color scheme is amazing, and it's directly inspired by The Thing. instead of vents, Polus has holes which lack an animation that all other vents have. Polus also has vitals, which if utilized properly can tell you exactly when a crewmate died.

The Airship is a map I want to like, i really do. I believe most can agree with that. This map is a direct reference to Henry Stickmin, another innersloth ip. despite this, and despite the references that this map has, this map isn't good. It's too big. That's it's main issue. I genuinely believe this map would be good with twenty players.

Where Polus is the best map, Fungle is the most fun (get it). It's without technology, there's no cameras and no admin table. vitals exists but it's a while to get to. To replace cameras, theres the binoculars. The binoculars allow you to view almost the entire map. There is no indicator for if you're being watched. the only area you know you're safe to kill in is the cliffs, the blind spot.

The show

The among us show is what got me really into among us again, and for good reason. The show has anti-corporation themes, an entirely non binary cast, and is exceptionally well written. there are several details you won't pick up on in a first viewing that lead you to who the imposter is. Alongside this the cast is incredibly enjoyable, with even the first character to die being an enjoyable one and favorite of many.

Unfortunately this show was stuck in production hell, which is why i heavily encourage anyone who's interested to watch the show and give it support. I would love to get another season and the main way we get that is through watching the show.
